One in five Britons (23%) say they don’t have much trust in UK intelligence services, including 7% who say they don’t trust them at all. However, 58% say they do trust the intelligence services, with (15%) having ‘a great deal’ of trust.
Conservative voters are notably more likely than Labour supporters to report having a great deal of trust in the UK intelligence services: 25% vs 11%.
One in five (21%) think that they are being spied on by the security agencies in some way. Half of Britons (46%), however, think that the government is not spying on them, while another third (33%) are unsure.
