Fulham, Newcastle and Tottenham are tipped to pick up home wins this weekend as they host Bolton, Swansea and Sunderland respectively. Manchester United, who travel to QPR, and Chelsea, who visit Wigan, are also expected to come away with three points. SportsLab fans also predict that Everton will beat Norwich and that Manchester City will return to winning ways when they play Arsenal. An away win is narrowly the favoured option as Aston Villa take on Liverpool, with a substantial minority expecting a draw, while fans are also divided on Stoke’s trip to Wolves and Blackburn’s match against West Brom – in both cases, a draw is the most-predicted result.
Four out of ten is becoming a bit of a habit for SportsLab Premier League predictions – can our fans break out and record a better performance this week? Check back next week to see how you fared…

The results from last week’s games - and how our predictions fared against them – are shown below. There were a number of shock results – only 5% of SportsLab’s football fans tipped Wigan to beat West Brom, 9% correctly predicted a Stoke win against Tottenham, and 16% expected Chelsea to overcome Manchester City. Once again, we correctly predicted four of the weekend’s ten games – this time we lagged behind both Mark Lawrenson and the Fink Tank, who scored six and five respectively.

Labs Method statement
YouGovLabs research is anecdotal, with polls being open to all panellists who wish to take part. In contrast to YouGov’s Public Opinion polling, YouGovLabs seeks to understand the attitudes of specific subsets of people: sports fans tell us how they feel about sports and music fans tell us how they feel about music, for example. YouGovLabs results are unweighted, and figures reported do not reflect the attitudes of the population as a whole.
