Hilary Mantel’s historical novel Bring Up The Bodies has been nominated for a third major UK literary award. If she wins, the British author would be the first person to win all three.
The most recent award Ms Mantel is up for is the Women’s Prize for Fiction, formerly known as the Orange Prize. She has won the Booker Prize twice –once in 2009 for Wolf Hall and last year for Bring Up the Bodies. In January, Ms Mantel won the Costa Book of the Year award.
Wolf Hall and Bring Up the Bodies are part of a series about the rise to power of Thomas Cromwell in the court of Henry the VIII.
