Manchester United is out.

Amid a raucous controversy over a red card issued to Man United winger Nani, manager Sir Alex Ferguson skipped a post-match press conference because he was too distraught to speak. Even Real Madrid manager José Mourinho later conceded, “the best team lost.”

Real Madrid defeated Manchester United 2-1 and 3-2 on aggregate, advancing the Spanish team to the Champions League quarterfinals.
