The often caustic comic Joan Rivers has yet again raised controversy for recent comments on Adele and the Holocaust.
On David Letterman, Rivers mocked Oscar-winner Adele on her weight, first puffing out her cheeks and holding her arms away from her body to "mimic" an overweight person and then saying "What is her song, 'Rolling in the Deep'? She should add, 'Fried Chicken' (...)"
Appearing also on E!'s "Fashion Police", the comic made a Holocaust related joke, saying in reference to German model Heidi Klum's dress, "The last time a German looked this hot was when they were pushing Jews into the ovens (...)" She then doubled over in laughter.
The latter remark has drawn sharp criticism from the Anti-Defamation League's Abraham Foxman, but Rivers, who is half-Jewish, has refused to apologise, saying "My husband lost the majority of his family at Auschwitz, and I can assure you that I have always made it a point to remind people of the Holocaust through humour."
What do you think? Has Joan Rivers gone too far?
