In recent years it has come to light that some police officers who were acting undercover within activist groups had sexual relationships with activists who were unaware they were actually police officers. Several women who had relationships with people who turned out to be undercover police officers have sued for and received damages, but it has not been treated as a criminal offence. Do you think when police officers have sexual relationships with people while on undercover operations it should or should not be treated as a criminal offence?
