Earlier this week David Bowie released a confounding new music video that has placed the 66-year-old star in the limelight once again, just weeks before he releases what has been called the greatest comeback album in rock’n’roll history.

The singer earlier this year shocked fans and industry-insiders alike with a new single, which was posted online on his 66th birthday. The event came with the announcement that Bowie would be releasing his first new album in a decade, called The Next Day, in March. Bowie is also the subject of a blockbuster upcoming retrospective exhibition at London’s Victoria and Albert Museum. David Bowie is will explore “the creative processes of Bowie as a musical innovator and cultural icon(...)"

The provocative 6-minute video stars David Bowie and actress Tilda Swinton, who was reportedly picked for her resemblance to Bowie, as a couple whose middle-aged domestic peace is shattered by extraordinary new celebrity neighbours. The younger couple is played by androgynous models Saskia De Brauw and Andrej Pejic.
