YouGov European tracker series looks at the popularity of the leaders of Britain, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy and Spain
Keir Starmer – United Kingdom
November’s tracker poll found that 19% of Britons had a favourable opinion of Keir Starmer and 74% had an unfavourable opinion. These scores are within the margin of error of those for October’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
Emmanuel Macron – France
November’s tracker poll found that 15% of French people had a favourable opinion of Emmanuel Macron and 82% had an unfavourable opinion. These scores are within the margin of error of those for October’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
Friedrich Merz – Germany
November’s tracker poll found that 27% of Germans had a favourable opinion of Friedrich Merz and 67% had an unfavourable opinion. This represents a slight decrease in popularity since October’s survey, with the number of Germans holding a favourable view four percentage points lower than previously, while the number with an unfavourable view remains largely the same.
Giorgia Meloni – Italy
November’s tracker poll found that 36% of Italians had a favourable opinion of Giorgia Meloni and 56% had an unfavourable opinion. These scores are within the margin of error of those for October’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
Pedro Sánchez – Spain
November’s tracker poll found that 35% of Spaniards had a favourable opinion of Pedro Sánchez and 62% had an unfavourable opinion. These scores are within the margin of error of those for October’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
Mette Frederiksen – Denmark
November’s tracker poll found that 38% of Danes had a favourable opinion of Mette Frederiksen and 58% had an unfavourable opinion. These scores are within the margin of error of those for October’s survey, and therefore represent little change.
