It isn't out for a week, but Robocop is still doing far better than this week's releases in both buzz and consideration
Coming to cinemas this week are sci-fi thriller I, Frankenstein, action movie Lone Survivor, rom-com That Awkward Moment, thriller Out of the Furnace and sports documentary The Armstrong Lie. But despite already having weeks of advertising behind them they all pale in comparison to two-week buzz-chart leader Robocop.
Of this week's new releases only I, Frankenstein – whose reviews rarely top two stars – makes the top three for buzz (24% have heard something about it) or consideration (19% would like to see it).
Robocop, in contrast, stays in first place for buzz (32% have heard something about it) for a second week and moves up from second to joint first, with Monuments Men, for consideration (both 20%).
The Lego Movie is second in buzz, with 26% having heard of it, but only 11th in consideration.
And although That Awkward Moment, tipped as a "valentines date movie that guys won’t mind seeing, and women will find amusing enough and easy on the eyes", only comes 6th overall in consideration, it comes first among women.
