Based on a survey of 1200 marketers globally, only 11% consider using user-generated content as an important tactic.
Though 77% of survey respondents said that their company has a content strategy, only 9% considered their strategy to be excellent. 67% of marketers said SEO was the most effective method to improve the content’s performance, while 51% also consider repurposing existing content as effective.
Generating leads, increasing traffic and improving brand reputation are among the top content marketing priorities for 75% of organisations surveyed. Despite the popularity of various website analytics tools, only 9% of marketers said they were using an integrated content marketing platform.
Though blog posts and emails were the most common content formats, only 28% of respondents created video content. The survey also revealed that 78% of companies have a content team of 1-3 people with occasional outsourcing support.
