Hillary Clinton won 2% more votes than Donald Trump across all states counted together. However Donald Trump won in the 'electoral college' which decides who is President, determined by results in individual states. In the UK, it is also possible for one party to win the most votes overall while another party wins a majority of constituencies. It happened in 1951 when Attlee's Labour party won 1% more votes than Churchill's Conservative party, but the Conservatives had the most MPs and formed the government. If this were to happen again in a future UK election, would you feel the result was...?
