Our latest daily polling figures for the Sun (fieldwork 8th-9th March) are:
- Conservative 36%
- Labour 32%
- Liberal Democrat 20%
- Others 12%
The Conservative lead in today’s poll has dropped to four points on the back of a recovery for the Liberal Democrats. This may be a sign of a narrowing of the gap, or could just be the normal variation we see from day to day because of differences in the sampling. The benefit of YouGov’s daily polling is that we will rapidly be able to tell by looking at tomorrow’s figures – is this a blip, or the first sign of the polls getting even closer?
