16% French men don’t brush their teeth in the morning, and twice as many Brits than French skip breakfast

One in 10 people in France do not brush their teeth in the morning, our recent poll has found. And 16% of French men say they don’t brush their teeth when they wake up, compared to only 5% of French women.

Meanwhile, just 6% of British people do not brush their teeth in the morning, however the figure rises to 9% of British men who skip teeth brushing when they wake up, compared to just 3% of British women.

Before or after breakfast?

A majority (51%) of Brits brush their teeth after eating breakfast, but more than a third (34%) do so before. Across the channel, 86% of people in France wait until after they’ve had breakfast to brush their teeth, while 10% brush before and eat after.

Breakfast: Oui ou non?

Twice as many people in Britain skip breakfast in the morning than do in France. In the UK, 8% say they don’t eat breakfast, while only 4% of French forego a morning meal.
