Turkey, pigs in blankets, stuffing, peas, carrots, Brussels sprouts, parsnips and of course, roast potatoes and gravy: these all form the key components of the nation’s Christmas dinner this season, each netting more than 50% in a poll on what the British public expects to grace its dinner plates come December 25th.
Other so-called ‘favourites’ didn’t fare so well...
- Cranberry sauce only netted 47%
- Christmas cake just 45%
- Yule log just 19%
- Bread sauce had 18%
- Mulled wine only received 15%
- And eggnog was the least popular offering on the seasonal spread with just 3% of the vote. See the survey details and full results
