Alex has been at YouGov since 2007 and during his time with the company has filled several key positions. Initially he was Corporate Finance Manager before joining the innovations department where he developed the strategic direction of the group alongside YouGov’s Global CEO & Co-Founder, Stephan Shakespeare.

Alex began his career as an accountant and previously worked in the corporate finance industry advising a wide range of companies on their development – from raising finance for investment through to mergers and acquisitions. He first worked with YouGov in 2005 when he helped the company’s IPO on the AIM stock market.

More recently he helped form YouGov’s Data Intelligence Unit to execute elements of the strategy and led the development of YouGov Profiles, the media planning and audience segmentation tool for brands and their agencies. In February 2015 Alex was promoted to UK CEO.
