The government has announced that small convoys of partially driverless lorries will be tried out on major British roads by the end of next year. Up to three lorries will travel in formation, with the lead vehicle controlled by a human driver and humans also controlling the steering in lorries to the rear ‑ though acceleration and braking will be mirrored. How nervous, if at all, would you feel travelling alongside one of these convoys?
