60% of Gen Z can’t go more than four hours without internet access, before being uncomfortable

WP Engine’s study found that 31% of Gen Z expect the internet to use AI to predict and alert them of their needs.

The report states 60% of Gen Z can’t go more than 4 hours without internet access before they become uncomfortable, making them the most Internet-dependent generation. 64% of Gen Z believe the internet will bring people closer together.

While 62% of Gen Z primarily use internet to access friends, millennials (57%), Gen X (63%), and Baby Boomers (67%) mostly use it to access information. Also, millennials (69%) and Gen Z (63%) are more concerned about the growing use of artificial intelligence.

However, 40% of Gen Z expect to access internet using their voice alone in the next five years. Further, 79% expect software websites and digital experiences to have digital learning/AI capabilities.
