Martech research firm Ascend2 surveyed 300 marketing professionals to understand how they plan their strategies for 2020.
This piece states that most marketers indicated their interest to significantly or moderately invest in marketing technology in the coming year. Moreover, 15% of marketers also said they are planning to start investing in martech, while only 4% expressed no plans to invest at all.
49% of marketers mentioned customer acquisition as their primary objective for 2020, while 54% indicated that driving sales as their main goal. Other major objectives included increased customer engagement and brand awareness.
96% of marketers found their digital marketing plans to be either somewhat or very successful in 2019, while just 4% found them to be unsuccessful. Almost half of the marketers stated that SEO, and Social media and blog posting were the most effective digital tactics in 2019.
