YouGov analysis of British dining habits.
Like tea, football, and the Royal Family, the Great British Takeaway is a national institution. If we want to celebrate a birthday, reward ourselves for a big win at work, or if we simply can’t be bothered to cook, we’re likely to go to the chippy or ring up the local kebab shop.
But how often do we enjoy carryout meals – and what are the UK’s favourite eateries?
A new YouGov whitepaper, Restaurants, takeaways, and food delivery apps, asks Brits across the country about their habits, preferences, and choices when it comes to these meals. It reveals the favourites of each region of the UK, and the brands that are believed to offer the best quality and value for money. We also take an in-depth look at the nine per cent of Brits who order a takeaway at least once a week.
