Instagram has rolled out branded content tags, through which long-form content once published on IGTV will be labelled “paid partnership with” and will also carry the partner’s name. However, the move currently doesn’t extend to all users.
To be able to make use of the label, an account must be a Businesses or a Creator one and meet the prescribed eligibility standards. This announcement is of particular interest to brands that are looking to work with influencers to promote their products.
For influencers or top-level content creators, this opens up more ways of monetisation. It can also help Instagram retain them on the platform for longer.
