The “Why am I seeing this ad” feature and Ad Preferences page has been updated.

Facebook has announced updates to its “Why I’m seeing this ad” feature. It will now display the websites or Facebook Page a user may have visited, the interests and categories used to target an ad and also, how the ad targeting information was collected.

Users can now hide ads from an advertiser or remove ad targeting information from their profiles. Facebook has also updated Ad Preferences. One of the new sections will show the advertisers that have uploaded a list with the user’s information. Another section will show businesses that have uploaded and shared the lists.
