Advertisers would be able to place the live stream ads wherever display ads appear on a website.
Currently in limited beta phase, Google will roll out a new ad format that will let marketers stream YouTube live stream content as display ads. These could appear wherever Google’s display ads are shown.
The article points out that since live streaming on YouTube is free, brands would only have to pay for the ad unit. Additionally, Google has introduced another display ad format, Swirl, that will let users interact with 3D objects.
This is in limited beta phase as well. Using Swirl, advertisers will be able to showcase products from all angles with users being able to zoom in and out.
