Latest YouGov Westminster voting intention figures

Currently the Conservatives would receive 42% of the vote at a general election, compared to Labour's 36%. Prior to this they had stood at 43% and 35% respectively.

Elsewhere, the Liberal Democrats have 8% of the vote (from 6%) the Greens have 5% (unchanged) and the Brexit Party are on 2% (from 3%).

In terms of who would make the best Prime Minister the contest remains close. Currently one in three (32%) would choose Boris Johnson, compared to 34% for Keir Starmer. This is the first time that Starmer has outpolled Johnson on this question, although the results are still within the margin of error. Nevertheless, a third of Britons (31%) still can't choose between the two.
