Deputy Speaker of the Commons Lindsay Hoyle has received accolades for his outspoken role in the Budget proceedings.
Amid loud cheers and jeers he told MPs “It's not a competition who can shout the loudest".

Mr Hoyle—who is a Labour MP for Chorley—also reprimanded shadow chancellor Ed Balls for brandishing the front page of the Evening Standard, which printed leaked details of the Budget in advance of Mr Osborne's speech.
At another point, it got a little personal. Over continued shouts the deputy speaker told MPs, "Your voice would be better saved for cheering on Chester FC!"
One MP quickly shouted back, "They're rubbish too!"
