The new £10 note featuring Jane Austen has been criticised for including the quotation: "I declare after all there is no enjoyment like reading!" - but that was a line said by the unpleasant and snobbish Caroline Bingley in Pride & Prejudice, and she was being ironic as she hated reading. Does this matter?
