The Royal College of Nursing (RCN) has voted in favour of supporting nurses with dementia to continue their work as long as possible. The RCN said nurses with dementia could remain in roles that involved dealing with the public but would probably be removed from positions where they made critical decisions. Patient safety groups have, however, raised concerns that patients would be worried about the quality of their medical care. Do you think the RCN proposals are a good idea, bad idea or neither?
