Seasonal surfing

The nation may be spending the day in the company of family and a turkey dinner this Christmas, but the majority of the respondents of our online poll will also be squeezing in a world wide web surf come December 25th.

  • 53% of panellists say they will log on to the internet on Christmas Day
  • Just over one in five (22%) say that they won’t

And of those who’ll log on, most will be clicking on to social networking sites (60%, with 47% expecting to check Facebook, 7% to use Twitter and 6% to use another social networking site) and another 11% will be shopping. 62% will be surfing elsewhere on other sites.

So despite turkey being cooked and presents being opened, looks like many won’t be switching off or shutting down this Christmas.
