In the first of our Christmas Countdown questions, we asked the British public if they have, or are planning to have, an advent calendar this year. While for some the calendars (which often contain a chocolate treat behind every advent window) may bring back nostalgic memories of childhood, it seems the majority of Brits have no plans to purchase an advent calendar to mark the upcoming season.

  • 34% plan to buy/have already bought an advent calendar for Christmas 2010
  • 60% will not be investing
  • 6% are not sure if they will or won’t
  • Women (41%) are much more likely to have one than men (27%)
