“Maybe I'm not supposed to say that. I think they want to announce that with some big whoop-de-do.”

Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill will return for the next Star Wars film –or so says saga creator George Lucas, in a newly released interview with Bloomberg Businessweek.

Mr Lucas recently sold Lucasfilm, which is responsible for the Star Wars franchise, to the Walt Disney Company for more than $4 billion (£2.7b). Disney plans on making a trilogy of new films that pick up where Episode VI left off, along with a number of “standalone films taking place in the Star Wars universe.

Do Ford, Fisher and Hamill belong in the next Star Wars sequel?
