A plurality of people in Wales would vote for Britain to stay in the European Union if a referendum was held today, a YouGov poll for ITV Cymru Wales finds.

The research among over 1,000 adults in Wales finds that more than four in ten (42%) want to stay in the EU, just over a third (35%) want to leave and more than one in five (22%) don’t know or won’t vote in a referendum. The latest figures for the UK as a whole show 41% supporting remaining in the EU, 38% wanting to leave and 20% not knowing or not voting.
