Charities have endured a tough time over the past few years with a succession of issues painting the sector in a bad light. YouGov President, Peter Kellner, will chair a discussion about the situation facing charities featuring Bernard Jenkin MP, whose Select Committee has recently looked into charities, as well as leading lights in the charitable sector.
The panel will explore topics such as:
• Are the public and media expecting too much from organisations?
• Can many of the sector’s problems be solved through governance, oversight and regulation?
• What can charities do to re-engage with their public?
We will also present new research conducted for the event looking at how charities are viewed, what the public expect of them, and what can be done to improve their reputations and engage the public.
