When it comes to statistics on the consumer end, 78% of consumers in the US have discovered a product on Facebook. Moreover, 66% of Facebook users either like or follow a brand page. But, only 15% of users specifically intend to shop on Facebook.
As for user demographics, the highest percentage of Facebook users (77%) fall in the 30 to 49 years age group. In comparison, only 50% of those aged 65 years or older are active on the platform and just 27% of all US teenagers use Facebook.
