The 2021 JOTW Strategic Comms Survey highlights the major trends that communicators and marketers need to keep in mind this year.
The study found that 54% of communicators think more work will be shipped to outside agencies. 80% of communication experts also “agree” or strongly agree” that organisations place more value on communication now than before.
93% of respondents said that employee communications grew in importance instead of pre-pandemic time. Most respondents also said media relations are more complex or much more complicated than last year, while only one-third said it is about the same.
29% of communicators said their organisations are investing more in media relations, and around 60% will put about the same investment into this effort. 62% of respondents said sponsored content like posts from the Forbes Communications Council could be credible sometimes.
