The format for personalised business profiles includes a business’s Twitter handle, followers, following numbers, website URL and more.
Twitter is rolling out testing of a new feature called "Professional Profiles", which allows brands, publishers, and creators to showcase specific information on their profiles. The tests will begin with a select group of businesses in the US, and more profiles will be provided access in the months ahead.
As the testing of Professional Profiles progresses, businesses will be asked for feedback about what features they would like to see on their profiles. Twitter has also been experimenting with "shoppable" tweets and a Nielsen integration to improve audience delivery and results from videos on the site.
Professional Profiles could help businesses earn a reliable source of revenue and monetise their content. The new feature could also mean new advertising possibilities.
