The report found that 91% of Journalists prefer pitches that are less than 200 words. 68% of journalists prefer receiving pitches between 5 AM and 12 PM EST, and 57% cited Monday as their ideal day to receive pitches. 20% of journalists like to receive pitches on Tuesday.
When it comes to follow-ups, 86% are fine with email follow-ups one week from the first message. Twitter, with 76% is the most valuable social network channel among journalists. 94% of journalists are reporting on angles related to COVID-19.
Trending stories (70%) and narratives with images or infographics (64%) make content more shareable. An average journalist covers three beats or more, while less than five stories are written per week. 59% state their relationship with PR is mutually beneficial.
