Videos uploaded to Pinterest’s platform surged 800% YoY in 2020.
In its recent Pinterest presents Global Advertiser Summit, Pinterest unveiled new upcoming features along with its recent users’ demographic report. With nearly 459 million monthly active users, Gen Z and men reported the fastest growth on the platform, notes Pinterest.
46% of Gen-Z Pinners stayed focused on careers, and 54% felt positive about their financial future, despite the pandemic. Gen Z users in the US, use the platform to plan next purchases, by creating boards like “Small Businesses to Shop” and “Stunning Shop Cart”.
The features highlighted were “Pinterest Premiere”, a video ads solution, a trends tool providing actionable insights for advertisers in the US, and a new conversion insights tool. These solutions help advertisers with exclusive video placement access, optimise ad performance, and view marketed and organic metrics in a single report.
