The search engine giant has changed Google Search Console to Web Story Performance.
The California-based tech giant has changed its performance report around reporting on Web Stories. The update could lead to seeing more impressions and clicks from Google Discover to branded Web Stories.
The Alphabet-owned company previously only credited the original web story as an impression. Any subsequent click would not be credited.
The new update tallies any other Web Stories that are stem from the first Web Story in Discover as an impression and click in the performance report. The search engine giant said, “this may result in an increase in your Google Discover data.”
