SlickText’s recent survey of 1,100 people aged 18-54 revealed Valentine’s Day’s preferences and plans of consumers.
Consumers prefer communicating their love via text messages, as 63% aged 18 to 44 plan to share their love via text message on Valentine’s Day, according to the report. Those aged between 44 to 54 prefer making a phone call for Valentine’s Day, and 51% plan to send a text as well.
Biggest Valentine spending would be done on restaurants, candy and chocolate and physical gifts at 34%, 21% and 20% respectively. Mobiles are the primary device of choice for 38% of the consumers when it comes to online holiday purchases.
47% said they preferred smartphones for online holiday shopping, followed by laptops (33%) and desktop computers (15%). Accurate shipping, easy check out experiences and discounts were the important factors considered for online shopping.
