Facebook’s News feed launches in the UK

First launched in the US, Facebook rolls out its dedicated News Tab to users in the UK.

News Tab launched in UK will allow Britons to see top headlines of the day and view curated news feed from Facebook-approved sources. The personalised news tab will have an added “control” over the news users see on their news feeds, unlike home feeds.

Users can remove any stories or sources not preferred by them by selecting ellipsis (...) in the top right corner of a story. Also, news digests on the news tab now deliver content from authoritative sources and cover major news cycles.

Further, users from both the US and the UK now have more options to discover news from Facebook’s native app. While controversy surrounds Facebook’s control over news distribution, the company’s News media partners are growing.
