Companies can leverage AR to offer safe and touchless OOH interactions to educate and entertain consumers.
With the pandemic disrupting businesses, brands must align out-of-home (OOH) ads and innovative solutions according to changing consumer needs. Posterscope’s Innovation Director Claire Kimber observes trends for the OOH space in 2021.
OOH ads have the potential to be connected via a networked portal system, as AR experiences integrated with 5G will improve in quality. Further, OOH ads now can be used more pragmatically with mobile to offer contactless payment options, image search, social shopping and QR codes, and boost online behaviour.

Moreover, sustainability concerns and increased local awareness will lead to green innovations and “hyper-relevant” content for OOH to enhance local commerce.
