Pages will now have a verified badge and safety features to detect and contain unfavourable content.
New Page design on Facebook won’t feature the “Like” button any longer, as the company emphasises more on “Followers”, to measure how a page connects with its audiences. The elimination of the “Like” button will only concern celebrities, businesses, politicians and other public figures, and doesn’t apply to other users on the site.
With a new look-and-feel, the redesigned pages will have updated navigation, dedicated news feed, and Q&A format to engage followers. Users can now follow Pages directly from comments and recommendation posts.
Also, comments from public figures will be pinned to the top to enhance a page’s conversation visibility and widen reach. Pages will further have new management features, enabling page admins to access specific tasks like insights, ads content, and community and activity messages.
