With the lockdown pushing consumers online for dining and grocery shopping, online grocery and food delivery brands saw an upsurge in demand. According to Kantar and WPP’s Most Valuable UK Brands report, this demand helped Ocado, Deliveroo and Just Eat become the fastest growing brands in the UK.
Ocado topped the fastest-growing list by growing its brand value 63% to $3.3 billion (overall brand value rankings: 18). It was followed by Deliveroo (overall rank: 29) with value up to 40% to $1.9 billion and Just Eat (Overall rank: 20) with 19% growth to $2.8 billion.
Kantar’s Jane Bloomfield said brands of all sizes could fail in current circumstances. “Understanding the drivers of brand growth and acting on them quickly is business critical,” added Bloomfield.
