SevenRooms and YouGov’s recent survey of 1,237 US adults reveals consumers’ perspective on dining out again.
As restaurants and bars reopen in the US, 25% of Americans expressed discomfort about dining out until a vaccine becomes available. However, 38% of the survey participants say they are “looking forward” to dining out again over the next three months.
Of those polled, 23% say they’ll go with pick-up or delivery services for the rest of the year. Only 29% of consumers are comfortable with indoor seating, and 42% prefer outdoor seating.
Consumers (37%) comfortable with eating indoors, will favour restaurants they’ve been to before. 25% of consumers would feel comfortable eating at a restaurant they’ve never been to before.
