Over 68,000 hours’ worth of content is included in Audible’s catalogue.

The Amazon-owned company plans to launch Audible Plus, an inexpensive subscription plan that includes more new and exclusive content like podcasts. Audible Plus will consist of podcasts made by Pushkin Industries, Malcom Gladwell’s podcast company and more, along with narratives from celebrities like Alicia Silverstone.

However, the Plus plan excludes credits to download audiobooks outside its catalogue and is priced at $7.95 a month. Further, for $14.95 a month, subscribers can access the Premium plan, wherein they receive credit to be used for any content in the library.

Existing subscribers on the platform wanting to try the Audible Plus plan can sign-up on 27 August. The new plans will be ad-free and include podcasts from third-party providers.
