The hub would share a range of official announcements and news stories from TikTok.

Following the US Government’s recently issued Executive Order and the company’s belief that misinformation played a part in leading to it, TikTok has launched a new information centre to counter rumors and misinformation. TikTok hopes to dispel rumours about it through the hub.

The US Government had recently issued an Executive Order (EO) to the app, with concerns ranging from data misuse to censorship of content deemed sensitive by the Chinese Communist Party. This EO could effectively force TikTok to be sold off to a US company.

The hub hosts a section called “Expert Opinions” to showcase various reports on its algorithms and its broader impacts. An FAQ section further asserts to users that TikTok will not share data with the Chinese Government.
