DISQO surveyed 168,216 customers between January and June 2020 to understand what motivated them to take part in brand surveys.

The study found that consumers are most likely to be motivated to take part in brand surveys if they are going to be rewarded for their opinion. A majority of respondents (74%) said they take surveys if there are incentives.

57% of respondents also said they are motivated to participate in surveys because they want to share their opinions. However, a mere 14% of consumers feel motivated to take surveys as “being part of a community”.

A majority (81%) of respondents also believe that participation in surveys has an impact on brands and products. Only 3% of consumers somewhat disagree their participation makes an impact on brands and products.
