56% of digitally native consumers in the US want fast and free shipping, amid COVID-19

Discounts have dropped to 32% from 48% in 2019 among consumers, as per Avionos’ study.

With COVID-19 impacting online shopping patterns, 56% of US’ digitally native consumers wish for fast and free shipping, compared to 50% who purchase from traditional retailers. Consumers who shop with digitally native brands (70%) want a simple and easy mobile shopping experience.

52% who shop from traditional retailers want a similar experience. Of those polled, 60% demand easy delivery processes and 55% want easy/reasonable returns policy. Also, 76% believe that fast shipping speed contributes to a positive experience.

However, traditional retail shoppers are more likely to demand personalised product, size and/or colour recommendations compared 30% of digitally native consumers. Further, 23% of digitally native consumers and 22% of traditional retail consumers report almost equal eagerness in posting online reviews.
