Nearly 70% of consumers would visit bars and restaurants fewer times than they did before March

Drizly, an ecommerce alcohol delivery service, finds that more consumers plan to drink at home than they used to.

Even with the pandemic situation gradually returning to normal, nearly 70% of consumers expect to go to bars and restaurants less than did before March. Of those polled, 12.7% will get back to their old habits, while 3.8% stated they’d be out more than before.

However, 30% of consumers plan to drink more at home than they used to before. 52% of consumers said they “whipped up drinks” during the pandemic and 54.8% hope to do so when the crisis subsides.

A bit more than 23% said would visit establishments only if safety measures are followed and if they could be outdoors. Additionally, 31% of consumers don’t expect to be back out “anytime soon”.
