30% of subscription revenue from subscribers currently goes to Facebook.

Facebook is expanding its fan subscription program to other markets to help game streamers and other creators monetise their content. Earlier, the program was available to limited number of creators in the US and UK. This now extends to include creators from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, Thailand, the UK, and the US.

Creators with 10,000 followers or more and more than 250 return views and either 50,000 post engagements or 180,000 watch minutes in the last 60 days will be eligible for the program. The company is expanding its virtual currency “Stars” to creators across countries including the US and UK.

Also, the creator studio will include features like comment insights. Creators can make money through post-roll ads in short-form videos and ads in live videos.
