Businesses are leveraging asynchronous video conferencing in the time of Zoom calls

Online video platform Vidyard has published a new report that analyses how organisations are using videos while working remotely.

With remote working becoming increasingly common, there has an upsurge in the usage of synchronous and asynchronous videos for business communications. 94% of organisations are using real-time, synchronous video conferencing tools like Zoom to maintain their workflow.

Businesses are also using asynchronous video solutions, which allow users to record and share custom videos and share them via email, social media or internal chat tools. More than half of the businesses reported using asynchronous video tools as a means of communication.

The report further states that businesses prefer asynchronous videos as they provide more convenient communication than live video conferencing. Asynchronous videos also enable a more personalised communication to marketers than emails and chats.
